Review on LifeStraw Flex: Versatile Water Filter System for Hiking, Camping & Emergencies by Chris Sanders

This is my first review of an Amazon purchase. I have had an account since 2011. I've bought many products that I didn't like, but not enough to write a review. The concept for this is very good. I followed the instructions for backwashing the filter regularly, but I was only able to fill my 3 liter water bladder with tap water twice before the white membrane filter closed completely and was no longer letting through. I used it for a trip to Ecuador and it's fine if you're spending $35 on a last resort and want to let it go and buy another next time, but don't expect it to last 250 gallons or whatever it says. This is a survival tool that lasts almost 2 days. That's all
