The pin configuration of the wire harness supplied with the Pyle PLR31MP does not match the radio requirements (as stated on the radio label). The PLR31MP requires a thick yellow wire to provide 12vdc at 10 amps to power the radio and a thinner red wire to provide 1 amp when 12v is supplied by the acc/ Ignition to be switched. However, the wiring harness that comes with the radio has a yellow wire with 12V DC on pin 7 that needs to be switched from Acc/Ignition to 12V and a red wire with 12V switching from Acc/Ignition going to pin 4, which should have a constant voltage of 12 V. As a result, every time the ignition is turned off, all information in the memory of the radio is lost. On the other hand, connecting 12VDC to the red wire of the wiring harness can be potentially dangerous as that flimsy wire isn't rated for 10 amps. MANUFACTURER.
