I grew up in a textile workers family. My father sewed serious fabrics, and he did it seriously. In addition, he carefully studied every piece of cloth that ever caught his eye. He had unusually high standards for all kinds of fabrics. He taught the rest of the family to be just as observant and perceptive. The result of all this attention to fabric is that I really, really like it - I look at it, I touch it, I examine it closely and I appreciate a piece of well-cut fabric when I see it. My somewhat fanatical father subjected the use of fabrics to make clothing and other textile products to the same scrutiny and critical evaluation. I'm sorry to say that many of the fabric products I see don't live up to the standards my dad passed on to the rest of us. So when I come across a really good piece of fabric, I almost want to celebrate the find. The same applies to the design of fabric products. So I was almost ecstatic when I opened the package and found this denim apron inside. Denim is beautiful - weave, texture, color (dye) and weight. This is a real piece of fine denim. Again, the design and construction of the product is excellent. I'm almost in high spirits, probably because I just didn't expect to find these wonderful qualities in this particular subject. But here they are and I am very happy with what I bought. This is a real find. real buy. I almost wish I needed another one so I could get it too. If you are definitely looking for a denim apron (I plan to use it at work on shoes), I wholeheartedly recommend this Vantoo denim apron.
