I can see how this could be useful for security events or something where you want to mute the sound, but it's definitely not ideal for law enforcement use. It was a little tricky and when I finally got it right it just blocked too much noise. The radio sounded very muffled and it was literally like an earplug in one ear. I was hoping this would work because the cheap rubbers get hard after a while and hurt the ear. I really wanted something personal, fitting, but that just didn't work for me. Mine failed the briefing before I switched back. Unfortunately it wasn't cheap and of course can't be returned if it's in your ear. If you're in law enforcement and thinking about trying this, don't do it.
