While I didn't get the 100MB/s read speed advertised on the box, I was very close when I was using the latest laptop with a microSD slot was not connected there was no adapter. Previously I tried using an adapter on a USB 3 port and got a 5x slower speed. So it depends a lot on the interface and adapter for your computer, not the limitations of this product. Any adapter was not included.
