I have used many Sabrent products over the years so I am confident in their quality. This dock is quite expensive for the number of ports, so make sure you really need the features this dock offers. Two reasons it's expensive is that it supports Thunderbolt 3 at speeds up to 40Gbps and also supports dual monitors with 4K or higher resolutions (HDMI supports up to 4K and DisplayPort supports up to 8K). I've never seen an 8K DisplayPort monitor, but I'm sure they exist. I actually ordered this docking station to connect two old monitors to my laptop, which only has Thunderbolt 3 ports. One of the monitors requires DisplayPort and the other supports HDMI. It's rare to find a DisplayPort enabled dock like this, so I was lucky to find one. It works great for me. But if you only need to connect an HDMI monitor to your computer along with a few regular USB ports, you can save a lot of money by buying a USB-C dock (same port as Thunderbolt 3, but a lot cheaper). Please note that this dock does not support pass-through charging. So if your laptop only has one Thunderbolt 3 port, you cannot charge it at the same time with this dock. This docking station is best suited for systems with at least two Thunderbolt 3 ports.
