It is not as tight as it seems on the market. The housing is made of plastic, the cover can be easily removed. However, the tray serves its purpose. Although plastic in appearance, but comfortable and strong enough. The tray comes with two clips that can be attached to the back if you don't want to carry a cup holder (insert the square ends of the clips into the two square holes on the silver piece on the back). The clips hold well and don't come loose easily. The cover is not too heavy and the light does not glare at night. It's quality for the price, of course, but not top-of-the-line.
