After my electronic ski boot warmers failed I started using these toe warmers for skiing. I find they work just as well as electronic heaters and I don't have to deal with a battery dangling from my trunk. I place the heating pad on my toes instead of the bottom. I've found this makes it easy to get my foot in the boot without knocking the heating pad off. For those who say their heaters didn't work or weren't in the original packaging: check the expiration date on the packaging, these things won't work if they're too old. My order was "Shipped and Sold by Revain.com" and they came in their original packaging with a shelf life of 3+ years.
