Unfortunately, vintage Stanleys are hard to come by. These new models are pretty good. I've been using the larger one for about 2 years, the only problem is with the gasket. The smaller one (advertised) is the same as the larger one except for the Stanley lion design and just the name on the thermos. The insulation is excellent. Keeps the coffee very hot for about 6 hours (my personal experience). The screw cap needs to be cleaned (well) every week. I've also noticed that they stretch a bit after a year. Doesn't leak unless overstuffed. There is one more thing that Stanley thermoses have in common, regardless of their size. Wrinkled lids. I have yet to receive one that didn't have a crumpled lid (see photo). It doesn't bother me, it might bother others. But well made thermos. I go there every morning to work. I recommend them. I gave 4 stars because of the seal (rather than the crumpled lid). Incidentally, the outer metal lid will eventually separate from the plastic inner cup. Just stick on the gorilla. never mind
