Dimples Misfire in kitchen and dining room

We all know that Stanley thermoses come from the factory with a dented mug. Even in the new Chinese version, there should be an employee at the end of the assembly line with a ball-nose hammer, delivering precise, random, gentle hits to give your Stanley thermos that "I've had an adventure or two" dented patina, but this slipped through. Instead, a dimple on the side. Unimportant. Less aesthetic is that the thermos is quite bulky for the amount of liquid in the holds and after 6 hours, hot OR…

GREAT BOTTLE! good for thermos

Stanley is a bottle with a vacuum seal. This is a great vacuum flask. Some reviews said their watch arrived dented, but ours was in perfect condition. A thermos keeps things hot or cold for a very long time and can hold ice most of the day unless it's in a hot car. The lid is very easy to screw on and off and can be used as an 8 ounce drinking cup so you can drink from it or eat soup from it. The vacuum seal is very tight, nothing leaks. Very easy to clean in soapy water. It strikes me as very…

Same quality as your grandfather

So if you get one of these, you'll get it for life. My grandfather had one in London, England when I was a kid in the 70's. He used it for coffee and sometimes tea, and it lasted longer than he did. Specifically designed to hold 25 ounces of your goodies, this model can withstand temperatures of up to 20 hours cold or hot and 3 to 3 days frozen. It's serious weight, ideal for rough jobs or terrain and when you need to show "power" in front of others. I didn't get this because mine didn't last…

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Sad packaging

My old US made Stanley/Aladdin vacuum bottle holds 32 ounces and weighs about 2 1/2 pounds empty. Made in China, this bottle holds 25 ounces and weighs about 14 ounces. This one looks less durable and I'm guessing it's aluminum (although the description says it's stainless steel). My old one will attract a magnet but this new one won't, which is unusual for stainless steel. In any case the new one kept my water cold all day so no complaints about its capabilities and overall I definitely…

Classic looks need regular maintenance

This vacuum flask has a nice classic look that suggests durability and strength - at least the greenish-yellow bottle with the crowned winged bear logo should be durable - but there are a few problems. keep in mind. First, the cap that doubles as a cup only holds about 1/2 cup, not exactly a generous portion, so that's 24 ounces. The bottle expects the user to receive repeated servings. The mug has a plastic liner and needs to be rinsed before replacing it on the cap over the airtight lid…

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

Only one downside. on thermos flasks

I've been needing a new water bottle for a long time. My old one is dented (doesn't stand up anymore) and honestly has always been difficult to clean. I've known the Stanley brand for a long time; It certainly has a longstanding reputation as a solid product! This is a strong and durable bottle with a classic look. You can use the top as a cup, although I probably won't (that's just me. The top/cup is fine). I love that both the lid and the cup are dishwasher safe. As far as cleaning goes, I…

Almost Vintage Style Insulated Beverage Containers

Unfortunately, vintage Stanleys are hard to come by. These new models are pretty good. I've been using the larger one for about 2 years, the only problem is with the gasket. The smaller one (advertised) is the same as the larger one except for the Stanley lion design and just the name on the thermos. The insulation is excellent. Keeps the coffee very hot for about 6 hours (my personal experience). The screw cap needs to be cleaned (well) every week. I've also noticed that they stretch a bit…

The lid is not an 8 ounce cup...

To be honest I ordered it because my grandfather had one when I was a kid. Has a vintage old school look. Many reviews mention a dented lid, luckily mine arrived dent free. Everything is fine, but there are a few problems. The internal plastic screw in the cap feels very cheap, I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes a problem with constant daily use - the bottle itself will definitely survive this cap. Also, the description says the outer lid serves as a mug, which is definitely true, but the…
