They fit like slippers with a soft heel and soft sole. They glide and have a neat profile. I went camping with my daughter and although my foot slipped on the rocky surface in the shoe itself, I never lost traction on the rocks. I ordered a 10.5 and could probably get a 10 in it, but often my toes touch the top of the shoe on 10 occasions. My feet never hurt while hiking and my stomach didn't start to behave like it normally does when I walk for about 30 minutes. I think it was a good deal and I might order another color in spring. The only thing I didn't like was that they came in a bag and not a box so one heel was a bit deformed on arrival. However, due to the nature of the material, it did not cause any discomfort or heel slippage and the shape is now normal after a few days of wear.
