The Fortress was very easy to put together and the cats love it. I put a solid (fish hole) wall between the back 2 rooms so that kitties could sit on the lower level with no one right next them. That left the 2nd level with 3 open sides, but they really like being able to hide in the lower back "room" while still being able to look out. I think I'll tape cloth on 2 open sides of the 2nd level.I also bought the Chateau several months ago. It was much harder to put together. They use it, mainly just the top level, but already they're using the Fortress more. Also, wow, did the price go up. The Chateau was 53 when I bought it and now it's at 99.Edit: I'm going to have to get another Fortress because my cats are fighting over the "back room."
