I am very impressed with the quality of this collar, especially for the price. I bought this for my Golden Retriever (85-90 lbs, 19.5" neck, x-large size) after he started losing in the collar area while wearing a nylon collar. While researching this I read, that leather collars are much less likely to irritate their skin.I didn't expect much improvement just from changing his collar but for us it made a big difference.He's had this collar on for a little over a month and not only is he not falling He sheds more hair but his fur almost completely thickens even when wearing this collar.My anecdotal experience is that if your dog sheds hair due to collar irritation,a leather collar can make a significant difference.This collar itself is genuine leather from Excellent quality It's durable simple and elegant Point size This is way better than some of the leather collars I've seen in stores and at one much better price. I will definitely be buying more for my other dog.
