All earrings I wear have french hooks, and many don't come with these grippers to keep the earrings from failling off my ears. With this package, you have more than enough to last a lifetime. Because french hook wires come in various sizes, I worried that these might be too loose for some, but that was NOT the case. They fit 99% of mine perfectly. A couple of pairs had french hook wires that were a bit thicker than others, but these grippers also fit those -- I just turned the gripper in circles as I traveled up the hooks.
