I didn't have high hopes but decided to try it on my son's new car which doesn't have space to put an adhesive magnetic mount. I'm really impressed with the durability and clamping force of this phone mount. It doesn't move at all when pressed against the air vent on the passenger side of his 2012 Ford Focus. I only have two things I would change if I could. Make it a little lower first so it doesn't protrude so far from the dash. Second, the magnet swivel would have a little more freedom of movement. It doesn't face the driver directly when it's on the passenger side, but rather close up. We can't use the air vent on the driver's side because it sticks out so far that the phone hits the steering wheel.
