My 1 year old daughter got this as a gift when she was 6 months old. She loved watching him run then, and now she loves running after him. She even takes him to her crib if we let him (we don't let him - that thing is noisy!). That's why his first word was "oo" (it says "oo" when you press a certain key - I don't remember which one right now). It even has some kind of sensor preventing it from working. from the edges so it won't fall off even if it's on the table. He is so loved that one of the wings is no longer lit, but he still sings and walks like always. I'm honestly surprised she isn't more exhausted from the way she carries them around. Can't recommend this enough for kids just starting to get around on their own. Edit - My daughter is 3 now and still loves this duck and it still works! I didn't even have to change the batteries. On the one hand, I'm glad that she loves him so much. On the other hand. At 2+ years I can sing songs in my sleep. .
