Purchased for a small garden gazebo for evening lighting. The downside is that they are too bright and don't have a dimmer. If you don't have a lot of hanging space, these lights are spread very far apart. I had to use zip ties to hold them in place to keep the extra wires from hanging down and looking awful. I originally bought them because they needed to be waterproof and able to withstand the elements we often experience in Florida, especially rain in the summer. Less than a month later, I went out one morning to find two water-filled lightbulbs and only one "extra" spare lightbulb. There's no substitute for that, and the plug at the end doesn't have a cord long enough to reach the outlet without the bulbs hanging underneath. This was after the first set I bought didn't work because every other outlet didn't work. My experience in general is that they are not value for money. After the first set I should have realized that this product wasn't for me. I wish you really wanted a nice set of lights, at the end of the day you'll probably end up paying more than $40.
