Winter Now and Since it When it gets dark earlier I like to keep an eye on my two kittens (Topaz and Sparkle, Princess Puff) and my older cat Star as they roam my 3 acre property in the evenings. I chose them because they don't hang around, which cats can bother and make noise. Additionally, they can be used with detachable reflective CAT collars, unlike lighted DOG collars which are not designed to come off if caught on something. I've only used it one evening, but so far I'm thrilled. The cats didn't seem to mind the slight extra weight and the flashing light. They work great and are very bright. I could let them roam around in the cold as long as I stayed inside, and step outside every once in a while and immediately see they hadn't become a fox or coyote Scooby treat. Colors are distinguishable, so even if I only see light and no cat, I know what kind of cat it is. When I brought them inside for the night, I turned off the light and they were not lit. Let's see how durable they are as long as I keep using them.
