They keep the smell of food

I've been walking around the kitchen for several days trying to figure out what it smells like and finally found it! These plates smelled like the food we ate a few days ago and yes I wash the dishes right after every meal so the food never lingers on it. It's been a few days and those plates and bowls still smell! Also, I have a dark gray color and all the fat is visible on it. They are so difficult to wash off! Although they seem to be durable. I think they will last a long time but I hate how they smell!
