I've been using them in my average bathroom for 5 years now mainly because they fit. The lamp covers are long and tubular, allowing these bulbs to fit inside. I've gradually switched to LEDs throughout the house, but have always had to stick with this bulb because I couldn't find long thin bulbs with LEDs. Well, the light output is great, but incandescent bulbs burn out about once a year, so high-power, pulsed use is a problem. I finally found an LED that works, so I'm done with that
