First of all, I commend the manufacturer for including so many accessories that are quite extensive and lack everything I can think of. But at maximum resolution it takes very grainy photos when viewed on a full-size flat screen. The camera focuses poorly and has an extremely shallow depth of field, with only a small portion of most images actually being in focus. Probably because of the very cheap image chip that writes the image to the memory card. The zoom isn't autofocus zoom, so you'll end up with grainy, fuzzy images at 16x. It does a barely passable job on low-light shots unless you're zooming in in low-light. When you do, it's completely grainy and blurry. So the camera is good for shooting videos without zooming if your expectations are not what you would expect from a popular brand camera that costs 2-3 times the price of this budget device. BUT, if you watch home videos or photos on a 32-70 inch flat screen, you will be very disappointed. Your phone camera will do much better than this camera. A magnifying glass is required to read the user manual. and the instructions are not very intuitive. There are too many menu items with redundant button presses, causing you to try to remember which buttons you had to press to toggle between the camera's main functions. The menu offers a number of "bells and whistles" settings, but I found them quite confusing. It would be nice if the manual explained what some features actually do when you use them. With an HDMI cable plugged into the camera itself, the TV showed all of the menu screens that the camera would normally display, but the camera screen itself remains blank, putting you at a disadvantage when navigating to find what you want to watch. And when I connected it to my PC via its USB port to view photos in Photoshop, the connection that the camera communicates with the PC went on and off and on. I could not stabilize it in the Windows Explorer window. Sometimes it showed up as a removable disk, but most of the time it was invisible. Too unstable. While I received this for free through the Revain Vine program in exchange for my honest review, I don't see myself snagging it at family events to record or photograph. Unfortunately this will most likely end up in my gift box for future gifts. Maybe a teenager or someone who doesn't care about the picture quality. I could see that it can be useful for those who want to record the activities of their sports teams for training and education. You get what you pay for at this price point, but you might be better off spending it on a reputable brand in the camera business. .
