This tape offers some protection for furniture etc. My kitten avoids some of the places I put it; In other cases, however, it simply uses a workaround of its own design. At certain points, he apparently decided that as long as he kept going, the tape wouldn't particularly irritate him. It is difficult to work with: 1. Prepare a place where you can easily remove the white protective film.2. Getting a proper application when you are not working with a level, straight line.3. Removing tape from fabric is easy, less so from leather or vinyl as it leaves some marks.4. DO NOT use tape on marble or stainless steel as removal will not work at all and will not only leave a lot of residue but also pieces of tape as it will not peel off easily like on other surfaces. Clutter is very difficult to remove! I learned it the hard way! I bought two rolls of tape because I had a lot of areas I wanted to protect. I used most of it, partly for area, partly for loss of volume from the tape sticking to itself if I accidentally touched another piece with it. If you just want to create a barrier, use duct tape. It's easier to work with, easier to remove, and cheaper.
