Works great if you have a 5.5mm OD/2.5mm ID power cord. I had the adapter installed with the dock for testing to find the right size, so I wasn't overly concerned about not having one, although it would have been much better. This is the one I bought along with the Docking Station "90W Replacement Power Cord for Toshiba Satellite L305 L305D L455 L505 L505D L745 L755 L775 L855 A105 A135 C655 C675 C850 C855; PA3714U-1ACA PA5035U-1ACA [19V 4.74A Laptop- charger]" and with this connected it works fine. It didn't stay on all the time with my multi adapter but once the laptop power adapter came there was no problem allowing me to use it to work from home and leave another docking station at the office.
