This yarn, Twinkle, is not meant to be a soft yarn.
I especially like using Twinkle with cotton crochet yarn for cleaning and cleansing, adding color to items. Men like them for cleaning tires, etc. and women like them for all sorts of reasons. One friend likes hers on camping trips. The crochet thread absorbs liquid, and the Twinkle does the tough cleaning. Single crochet makes a stronger finished item.
