I wanted an apron for bathing dogs. I was looking for one that went over the shoulders and not around the neck. Of course I wanted something waterproof. Several different aprons were purchased and returned because they were advertised as waterproof but weren't. This product is definitely waterproof. I spend most of the day up to my elbows in water and stay dry with this apron. It's light and comfortable, not bulky like some. Good product. I had to raise the straps because I'm short. If you have a sewing machine, this is not a problem.
