(I give these 4 stars but I really think they're between 3.5 and 4.) I've been wearing cheap flip flops for years and they started to thicken the skin on the sides of my feet and in those areas was inflamed. So I decided to switch to everyday sandals that are more stylish and made of better (preferably sustainable) materials. I went for these and I think they are really stylish, fit perfectly and hold up pretty well. To my surprise, on a few occasions the elastic bands even seemed to adjust and return to their original position when stretched slightly (I think wiping with a damp cloth helped in this regard). However, we adopted an outgoing dog (brown fur) and made our floors about 200% dirtier than they were before we got him. These sandals are not afraid of dirt and hair, they all cling to it since the straps are fabric. Aside from our dog, they also become very uncomfortable on their own due to the sole material and the way it encourages and traps foot sweat. It's real hell as skin and sweat collects in every nook and cranny and it's difficult to get it out of the fabric without picking up soap and an old toothbrush. All the cleaning they required dulled the blackness of the fabric and blurred it. In general, as cute as they are, they look mean most of the time and are not comfortable indoor shoes.
