I recently added a 16" MacBook Pro to the family and with the added size/weight I wanted to reduce the size of the carrying adapters. I also have one 13" MacBook Pro (2018) and wanted something that would work for both with no flaws. Anker delivers and works flawlessly on my two MacBooks. far away - not that warmed up at the same time. I was expecting a backfest and I returned it, so it was I'm surprised Ports/Connectors - I missed the hyper hub craze as I just never liked them with my MacBooks, so this is the first dual port device I've used on my Mac, but it fits in nicely good and doesn't feel like anything needs to be forced to work On the receiving end the card slots are also handy and you won't lose your cards but they still hold them well . The USB-C ports are responsive and work with all charging cables and dongles I have. USB-A is classic Anker quality. I think about it more. I think I really enjoy plugging and unplugging things in it. There are some brands (cough: UNI) that make me wonder "this is the time" when they break on me or hold the end of the cable. So far so good with Anker.Peripherals and what's working - I've only used portable devices on it a couple of times so I don't have a lot of testing with NVME yet, but the SSD is fine and working as usual. Only (1) port on it is active display port (charging port). So if you're going to connect two screens to the same side of a MacBook, this needs to change. If you can convert one of these to HDMI, you can simultaneously connect HDMI and then Displayport (over USB-C) via the charging port. Aside from getting the ports set up properly, I should also mention that on a 13-inch MacBook Pro and Air, for the most part, they should be flush with the work surface you're sitting on and the edge of the laptop. On a 16-inch MacBook Pro, there is a small gap underneath due to the height of this machine. However, it does not protrude beyond the upper edge and does not bother you when you run your hand over it. my office and home so I can give this a decent test. At $60, it's more expensive than the other options, but works very well for my needs. Cons: Price I think. I wouldn't mind having a GigE Ethernet port for the same $60 price, or waiting for it to be on sale if you don't need the port. Big ANKER at the top It's a bit annoying when I pick nits. Pros: Quality interface, well-known brand, works well on multi-year MacBooks with no oddities or driver issues. Compatible with the latest models and software. The color goes pretty well with Apple's Space Gray. I hope this review was helpful to you, if not please leave a comment and let me know how we can change it! Thanks for reading my review Chris.
