Easy installation. Hold Homepod Mini
I didn't use tape to attach. I screwed it into a 2x8 board between the rafters in my basement den with pre-drilled holes on the back of the unit. It's mounted above my big screen that's hanging on the wall. Mounted directly on a wooden board, the base shines directly at you. Sounds good. I also have the Mini's "eye" pointed straight at me so that it looks like it's alive when I'm sitting in my chair. This device holds the Mini in place. Don't worry about it falling out of the bracket no matter where you hang it.
