There is hardly any velcro on this strap. This is quite comfortable with the padded palm area, but you have to pull a small piece of velcro so it sticks to the brace that your fingers end up sticking together. There is only hard velcro in three places, each about 1 inch long. It doesn't have anything specifically to hold onto other than the strut itself. It's meant to be worn at night, but if you twist or move your hand, it pops up instantly. I would not recommend this stand.
