I know it's a 'gadget' but I really wanted to like it. I didn't expect nine hours of work, but three was an unpleasant surprise. I burned it in my office so conditions were perfect ie no wind. The wick actually burns for more than three hours, though not much more, but the flame is so weak from the melted wax that it provides no useful light. The price is too high for what is advertised compared to what you get. Buy with what you have at your own risk. I think the cheaper LED bulb is better in practice. The top reflector helps direct the light properly; Side reflector is useless. Took me three hours after the first candle burned out: Another reviewer said that a third of the candle stays in the ground right away and never gets a chance to burn out. He was right. I downgraded my rating from 3 to 2 stars. I am considering returning this item.
