Review on OCPTY Thermostat Mercedes Benz 2003 2005 2712001256 by Dwayne Meurer

I bought this item for my 2003 C230 coupe. The quality looks good, BUT appearances can be deceiving. First it turned out that the neck was too big for the engine. It was. We had to shrink the ridge before compression to get it into the head. After that, the thermostat did not enter the throat. After some flexing of the thermostat, we finally installed the assembly on the head. We clipped in the upper radiator hose, and that's where we did it. NO. The inside diameter of the throat was too big and it leaked horribly. This is for work, we got one straight from Mercedes. The Mercedes was $5 more expensive and fit upside down. The thermostat clicked right down the throat, and the top hose clicked properly. 15 minutes done. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. from Mercedes.
