Good idea. It will be difficult to fulfill. The gooseneck is very strong, so the neck will not sag after adjusting. However, it is difficult to set the camera at the right angle. I had a hard time adjusting the gooseneck without twisting the soundboard clamp. I ended up adding a large C-clip to hold it in place as it took me both hands to rotate the bar. It would be nice to have a small bubble level on the webcam connector so you can check if the camera is really level. Even though my table is very busy, a light touch on the table and a vibration is transmitted to the webcam. It will shake for a good 45-60 seconds. It will drive others crazy on the other side. I bought this because I wanted to quickly move the camera from above to one screen or another. I have two 27 inch screens that I use for online classes. Whenever I can, I like to look straight into the camera. Unfortunately this will not help. Order another one of these and put a camera adapter on it so I can use it for my webcam.
