Sweat-free, comfortable grip
I personally like them. They make it easier to hold the controller. Especially if you tend to accidentally flip your controller because you hit too hard or missed something. I always wear a wrist strap, even when I have it on, but at least it doesn't leave my hand, making it easy for me to wrap my arm around the controller instead of chasing the dangling controller for a moment. On a grip note, they protect my palms from sweat so I can keep playing.
