I am very careful with my expensive electronics and take care to handle them gently when transporting. I bought the dark red cover for my older 15" MacBook pro work laptop and within the first week of putting it in and taking it out of my backpack, the matte coating started peeling. I was annoyed bit since it was such a small area, I figured it would take a long time before it started to become really noticeable. A little over a month of use and the peeling spread about 1/4 up each of the rear corners. Now I sit and peel it off when I get bored, hoping someday I will have removed all of it and just be left with a shiny red color instead. Never had this issue with any of the plastic covers I have used in the past. The only reason I didn't make a complaint is because its such a low price and being used on a work computer.
