Review on Bubba Licorice Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel by Elton Luo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent mug. The grip is STRONG! Instructions how!

This bad boy can keep drinks ice cold for over 24 hours! The stainless steel metal mug is fully sealed with no creases or crevices, making it very easy to clean. The Diet Coke doesn't even stick to it, although it does stick to the plastic lid. By the way, the plastic cover hermetically seals the contents and nothing will spill. The lid closes anywhere with the mouthpiece. If you are right-handed, simply position the cap mouthpiece on the opposite side of the handle (180 degrees or west if you prefer) and tighten clockwise. The mouthpiece is oriented exactly 270 degrees or to the south. Ideal for drinking with the right hand. To drink with your left hand, simply start with the mouthpiece on the handle and then tighten. Now to the pen. I like to fill my Bubba with ice, then fill it with a soft drink and sip for a while. This makes the mug very heavy and puts a lot of strain on the handle. A few days ago the top of the handle came loose from the metal bracket. As I twisted the handle left or right, I was able to look inside the handle and see that it was a small metal screw that had come loose. All I had to do was figure out how to tighten it: 1. The handle is two pieces of molded plastic held together with molded plastic clips. Using a very thin or jeweler's flathead screwdriver, try to separate the two pieces by pressing firmly between the seams with the screwdriver. I recommend sticking a screwdriver in the top of the handle where it's already slightly separated.2. After separation you will notice how the handle was held together. Two steel screws with lock washers (try not to lose the washer). For those of you who aren't too mechanically savvy, a lock washer is like a metal screw clamp that prevents and holds the screw from loosening, mainly due to vibration. Put the screw and washer back into the mug through the hole on the handle and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver.3. Connect the handles together and voila! The mug is back in business.

Pros
  • Double vacuum insulation keeps drinks cold for up to 24 hours or hot for up to 6 hours
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
