It was the right decision.
After receiving this product, I separated the head from the adhesive body and placed it in the car on the same neck that my old phone mount once held. Luckily, interchangeable parts are one thing! This product is great. The only minor downside is that the rubber rim around the MagSafe charging pad somewhat weakens the magnetic connection between the phone and the pad. Maybe it bothers you a little. However, this is by far the best car mount solution for my iPhone 12 Pro Max.
