4 stars because I love the style of this shoe. Gray or "Cloudy/Champagne Metallic/Sea Salt" was exactly the neutral color I was looking for and it's so beautiful in person. I love that there are other beautiful colors to choose from. As for the quality of New Balance, they are more like 3. There is almost no downgrade. I would not recommend them to avid runners who need high impact resistance. The included "foam inserts" are a joke. It's literally just a thin cheap piece of foam with a tiny curve to support the arch of the foot. On the plus side, it detaches easily so you can insert your own stakes, which was a must for me. The fabric is also so thin that I can see my big toe while walking. Sizes run a bit small, so if you're between sizes, order up. I wear a 7 in sandals and heels and a 7 1/2 or 8 in tennis shoes. I tried on both and definitely went for the 8. Overall it was a pretty reasonable price, cute and comfortable with my own earbuds so I'm happy with them.
