Has a dual channel battery/control box and takes three AA batteries. There is a button that allows you to switch between modes. Most modes blink/flash fairly quickly, presumably to look attractive in a store, but distracting when there are people seated nearby. In addition, it works for several hours and then switches itself off, even if the batteries are good or you have connected your own power supply. There are several modes that are softer or even just included. There are claims that the backlight color is "multicolor” and there is a "chase/run” mode, but these statements are, shall we say, optimistic. Each bulb has only one color and only two control channels. The yellow-red bulbs blink together and the green-blue bulbs blink together, and the light never changes color. Channel.)
