Works for what I wanted.

I bought these to write on brown/aged/stained paper. The paper is very thick and porous, probably cotton. The markers performed better than I expected, but the colors on some of them were inaccurate. I also tested them on white paper (65lb acid free sketchbook) to see the difference. The bronze color was more brown on both papers, black looks like dark gray and red looks like pink. Bronze/brown, black/grey, red/pink, and white don't have much shine. I'm more interested in blue, celadon, sage, silver, and gold, so that's fine with me. Since I don't have black paper, I tried writing on the back of a sketchbook that is non-porous and covered with something. . Bely didn't write at all, and the ink just dripped. Bronze looks more bronze but there is no metallic luster, same goes for green. Also, it dries within an hour and is still wet so I'm not sure it will work on a non-porous surface. The tip of the brush is soft but easy to control and you can get a very fine line moving up, no matter how hard you try to get the metallic. Overall they are great for my use and I'm happy with the colors I bought the set for.
