This stand is exactly what I wanted (aside from maybe the bamboo finish/color). I needed a short monitor stand as I have a large monitor with a good height stand anyway. Only a few of the cutouts suited me (the cup holder is too small even for a standard mug, as other reviewers have mentioned) and I knew they would bother me. So, following another reviewer's advice, I simply flipped the top over when assembling the stand. It worked very easily and the stand is the perfect size for what I need for a widescreen monitor and for hiding my 16" MacBook and extra cables/connectors/etc. need. My keyboard even fits on it when not in use. I'm deducting a star as the cut outs didn't work and there are some rough spots in the wood that I will be sanding down.
