Review on Universal Laptop and Gear Stand: Odyssey LUNISPDB L-Evation + Pioneer CDJ-100 Plate Stand with Double Arm Package by Chadwick Webster

Poor design, workmanship and instructions

This item has many flaws: 1) Claims to fit a standard club mixer but has no room for cable supports stands that are too close to the mixer . So I had to switch the cables from XLR to TRS as they are on the left of my Xone 92 mixer and not as close to the lamp. Long story short, I had to spend another $40 on new cables because of this design flaw. 2) The assembly instructions say to put the handset on a stand, but the only way to do this is by removing a part which, by the way, is not listed in the instructions and has no clear function, strange. 3) There are a couple of sticky stickers that also don't explain how or where to use them and I eventually figured out that this was supposed to level the surface of the coasters due to the customization they have. Could put that in the manual, couldn't you geniuses? There are also a few Velcro strips that I'm not aware of and that aren't in the instructions. 4) The plastic covers that are supposed to hide the screws don't stay in place due to poor workmanship. Some of them are too big or too small so they don't fit properly and keep falling off leaving the product unfinished. Backing isn't enough to ensure whatever you have on the stand doesn't rest directly on the mixer/decks. So you end up having to position them too high or at an angle to get a clear view of the gearing underneath, again making them unergonomic. 6) The surface of one of the stands is not quite flat, so the stand is not level. The same applies to one of the levers that is not conspicuously aligned. Really bad design, bad instructions and bad production.
