I installed them on the side of my truck as work lights; They have a nice wide but not too intense flow with a surprisingly good central "hot spot" from the spot optic. Too bright to take a decent photo with my camera (this shot was taken in full daylight and only blocks the camera when the lights are on). Casting on the spot is really impressive - I aimed them straight and they easily reach 300ft with some force and will darken the area much further. MUCH further away - I found I could see the clear outlines of deer along the tree line about 950 feet away. However, I don't have a light meter handy to check this, so I don't know the actual lumens/brightness, but these little things shine just like my old 1 million candle QBeam fixture, just with a wider and whiter light ( them, probably 4750-5000K, cool, pure white without much blue cast). As for possible downsides, the connecting wires are fairly short so you have the splice very close to them and their standard wire feels thin and looks like aluminum but is well insulated and easy to connect. I got them on the end of 20ft 14g stranded wire (cheap wiring scam - get a trailer light replacement kit - it's thin stranded wire and you get 80-100ft of wire for what you normally pay for a spool length of 25 feet from many places - you just have to deal with unusual colors in some spots). My wires are wired individually so I can rotate each side separately as needed, along with the loading lights (the ones at the bottom near the ground on the case in the photo - everything is included in this photo). The truck regulator likes to run on 14.5v and is rated for 24v, but when running on battery only it's not as intense (usually 11.9v) so you should be aware of that. However, they don't draw much current when in operation, so they only get as much current as they need for full brightness. tight. It took me a few tries to set my aiming points, but since mine are mounted on angle plates, I have better access to the hex head screws for up/down adjustment than a square on the mount would suggest, so this may vary from person to person Case may vary based on your usage. The headlights come with a full set of Allen keys so you can relocate, disassemble and add extra sealant if needed etc. (I haven't had any issues with the seals after 2 months of use, we'll see what winter brings). Like many LED lights, they're probably overpriced, but give them a wire big enough to draw the current and they won't disappoint, especially at this price point.
