I was very impressed when I first received them. I liked the idea of saving materials and helping the environment by reducing unnecessary waste. I also liked the idea of not using those thin round makeup removers because they are bigger and softer. I even love that they have a mesh bag to put them in when you're ready to toss them in the washing machine so they don't fly all over the place and get lost. When I first used them, I really liked them. They don't scratch or irritate my skin like other makeup removers and I've found I particularly enjoy removing my mascara with it. Unfortunately, I encountered some issues when I washed them for the first time. First of all, you need to use a larger laundry bag to keep track of them because if you stuff all the pads into one small bag, water won't be able to penetrate each of them to wash them adequately. Unfortunately I found that even on second viewing in a large laundry bag they still had clumps of makeup on them and were very unsightly. Washington did nothing to get my eyeliner or mascara off me. The fabric was crumpled in the middle and started to unroll. The frame on the edge of these cartridges also falls apart. Unfortunately, they just don't hold up and are very impractical to use. I really liked the idea, but I think I'll stick with disposables.
