Review on Forlife Capsule Infuser: A Convenient Solution for Effortless Tea Brewing by William Whisperer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

That's cool! for tea accessories

Costs three to four times more than one of these giant tea balls with a hinge, but for me it was worth it! I've had these articulated balls fall apart too many times and spat out all the tracks. There are workarounds using clamps and zip ties etc but this is such a better solution. It holds about a cup, although you'll want to leave room for tea, so don't stuff it. But it's enough for a gallon of kombucha tea or a full ounce of some infusion herbs. The sieve is really fine, so small pieces like rooibos, tulsi, pekoe, etc. remain in the brewer and are not sieved. Outside. I haven't tried powdered herbs yet, but I think non-slimy powders in particular (fo-ti, rhodiola) should work. The lid only unscrews a half turn, which was a little annoying at first, but I took it out of the water and gave it a good shake and everything stayed together, so that's a good sign. The hook at the end of the chain I believe is designed to rest on the rim of an iced tea pot. When I use it on the edge of the pot while the infusion is simmering, it's too thick for the lid to close. But there's nothing wrong with that - if I need to close the lid, I just leave the chain with the hook in the pan. Its size makes it easy to scoop out with a spoon when I'm done.

Pros
  • Always a pleasure
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
