My daughter uses them to play ball. Unlike my other daughter, she didn't want a tiny, barely covering knee brace for reasons we don't understand. It has padding under her knee which she scratched while diving and padding also for the underside of her kneecap which needs the most protection. She is taller and fatter so I bought her a size XL. She says they comfortably grip her leg and feel great. She wore them every day for about a week and they still look brand new. She cares for them with the deodorant foot spray from Dr. Scholl so we don't have to wash them but once a week and they don't smell yet.
