LOVE Mongoose Malus Bike

The attachment system seems secure. This is a ridgid strap with wide teeth that goes through a hole and is then tightened with a large plastic nut. Turning the nut tightens the belt. It still moves when you push the light down or up so you can adjust it, but it didn't move on its own due to pavement riding. It's better than velcro, which some lights make much better use of. It's bright and I love the flash function because I drive at night. The only negative for me is that there was a crane on the bracket at the back so the light doesn't come off by pushing back because it comes off by pushing forward so the rear tongue broke. That's a little ledge, not very high, like a wall so the light doesn't slide back, that's a stop for the light. Mine broke but the light still has a locking tab on the front that keeps it in place. Otherwise I would buy another one if needed. Oh by the way, the flashlight is made of aluminum, so feels sturdy, not cheap plastic. It has a certain weight. It also has a back door, which is probably intended for changing batteries when needed. The rear light is subtle, not very bright, but quite subtle. Beat Revain's price for this device you'll get. Hope that helps.
