I am a tall woman weighing just over 200 pounds. I used to have hot pains in my hip/pressure point. Not so with this mattress. The top layer is soft enough to help my pressure points and the mattress offers good, firm support underneath as well. I suppose a little more cushion/plush on top would be nice and I understand why some people think it's "tight" since after a certain point it doesn't compress much anymore, but for me it's enough, to relieve my pressure points and I like that it offers support as well. And I think the top/padded layer feels very soft and I love how it feels! A few things though.1. I could not find the dimensions of the mattress anywhere in the description. I knew I was getting a full size but there weren't any real numbers for size. So I had concerns about whether it would fit in the frame I was planning to buy. I ordered a large bed frame just in case and I'm glad I did. It needed more length. And the bed frame hasn't arrived yet, even though I ordered this mattress and bed frame the same day, so I sleep on this mattress on the floor. Maybe it's because they can't decompress to the same size? My measurements are about 53-53 inches wide and about 77-78 inches long. So, the frame I was looking at, only 75 inches long, probably wouldn't fit, and I'm glad I got a longer one. Or I receive, I think I should say. haha2. You need to air/decompress for about 72 hours. A little uncomfortable. I didn't have room to spread out my mattress while keeping my old bed for 3 days. I know I shouldn't and don't recommend it because they say you can't but I slept on it the first night as I had no choice and I've had it for a week now and I feel like that he is now just as he was. first day. It seemed to unpack fairly quickly and well, and I had no problems. And I don't expect any. Obviously I'm not saying I should do what I've done; but i'm just saying i had no problem waiting personally.3. They tell you to zip the mattress. Well, lightning has two sides, so it wasn't entirely clear. Finally, I unwrapped it a bit to see which side had the taller support layer to determine which side should be lower. Both sides are very nice with good fabric so it was hard to say which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Now I'm wondering if I need to turn my mattress from time to time and if so how often and I haven't seen any information about it. I am very happy with this mattress. I feel like I got a good product at a good price and I think when my bed frame finally arrives and everything is ready I will be a very happy woman!
