A reliable hook that won't ruin your door!

There has come a time in my life when I am checking a door hook. I know it sounds crazy, but my wife and I have lived in pretty cramped quarters for most of the past decade, and we like to hang all sorts of space-saving solutions over the door. We've had at least half a dozen different "door hooks" over the years and they were all pretty badly designed. Some of them never fit properly on standard sized doors (despite their claims) and if they were too wide I would have to insert cardboard between the hook and the door, and if they were too narrow I would have to insert cardboard between the hook and the door. Manufacturer complain and send back. The biggest problem though is that they left ALL marks on both sides of the doors and I had to paint over them every time we moved. So suffice it to say when we received this hook for our new location and saw that it came with non-abrasive material on the two main contact points on the door (plus a strip of extra tape in case your door needs a little extra love). ) and that it fit our doors perfectly (super snug and the tape helps ensure not only does it not rub on the door paint but also keeps it in place) we were very pleased. The icing on the cake is the real hook on the front, which is much deeper than all our previous hooks, allowing us to hang more things on it. I thought the curved piece of wood on the hook was just there to make it look nicer and hold hangers better, but it also seems to strengthen the metal and allow it to hold more weight. So far I've mainly used this hook to hang all my riding gear and even when my camelbak is full of water and full of supplies (which easily tops 10lbs) this hook will hold it while riding with no problem. T-shirt and full-face helmet. The best door hook we have ever bought!
