I wanted inexpensive minimalist shoes that I could accessorize my teens with. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on growing legs, but I wanted something good. After all, these are my children. I found these SAGUARO shoes. I figured I was a guinea pig as I was already used to being barefoot. I could test them to quickly spot bugs. i am sold No defects found. These minimalistic SAGUARO shoes have all the hallmarks of the more expensive brands. Wide toe, zero drop, adequate protection without sacrificing surface feel. The materials are fairly basic, but that's probably where the cost savings lie. The lacing system is a bungee-like material. The laces are functional, but if you're not used to that, be aware. I've been training in it and doing deadlifts and squats with no problem. I did some sprints and climbs. I'm not a runner so I can't comment on how they hold up in traffic. However, I weigh over 300 pounds (I'm working on those stats) so I'm stricter on shoes than most. Experience might be a good option. On the other hand, if you have already bought minimalist shoes from a more expensive brand but need to change the price to a lower one, this should draw attention. If you like minimalist shoes anyway, they deserve a cross-buy.
