Review on Puroma 2 Pack Cabin Air Filter Replacement for CP285, CF10285 - Toyota, Scion, Lexus, Land Rover - High Performance Multiple Fiber Layers Filtration by David Alexander

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pack of 2 Puroma Direct filters - 4.5 stars on the day installed.

A set of 2 purchased from seller Puroma Direct. The instructions on the box are legible and usable, but for beginners I recommend watching a few videos on YouTube (I found 7xLxZvUQB on point). The filter itself has no marking or provenance other than the phrase "Air Flow" and arrows. next to the airflow. So I'm wondering if the filters are made generically and then just placed in a Puroma brand box? :-) I bought a regular filter, not an activated carbon filter. When I placed the 87139-YZZ20 filter installed by the Toyota dealer next to the Puroma filter for comparison, the dimensions matched. So it fits in the compartment in the car. I noticed that the 1 inch thick 87139-YZZ20 has fluffy material covering the outsides, while the Puroma does not. However, since the sides aren't the primary filtering surface, I imagine the fluffy material would make a difference - if anything - to seal the outsides a little better inside the cabin air box. The marking on the Puroma box indicates the filter. Exchange after 12 months or 12,000 miles. Given how well Toyota has engineered the glove box to be easy to remove and access the cabin filter, I'm hoping to check/replace the filter every 6 months or after the spring pollen fall and fall foliage season. If I find the review helpful I will upvote it, and you can too :-) Expect this review to be revised if I come across any issues with the filter.
